If you have a regular ticket, you can wear anything that is comfortable and not a safety hazard. You can even wear fancy dress, as long as it doesn’t include wigs, capes and anything else considered to be a safety hazard. Things to avoid include:

  1. Clothes that expose shoulders, midriff and upper legs.
  2. Loose clothing that can get caught on things, e.g. long skirts or flowing cardigans.
  3. Open-toe shoes, flip-flops, sandals or high heels. Instead, wear closed-toe shoes, trainers or boots that will not fall off.
  4. Long hair left loose. Please ensure it is securely tied back.
  5. Jewellery and scarves.

It isn’t mandatory to wear red, but it is the popular choice. The only thing to be mindful of is to avoid wearing the opposition’s colors. Check out our store to find a wide range of original LFC shirts and accessories you can wear to support your favourite team.

What do they call Liverpool FC fans?

Liverpool FC fans are known as ‘The Reds’, ‘Kopites’, or ‘Scousers’, and there’s a story behind the origin of each. The most popular name today is ‘The Reds’. This name was inspired by the iconic red kit that debuted in the 1890s and was popularised under Bill Shankly’s management.

The name ‘Kopites’ comes from a famous stand in the Anfield Stadium called Spion Kop or ‘The Kop’. Passionate LFC fans would stand there and loudly cheer their team on. Today, this tradition continues with Kopites seating themselves at the stand in a strong show of support.

The least globally known name for Liverpool fans is probably ‘Scousers’, considering it has its origins in the city of Liverpool. This name is inspired by a local stew of Scandinavian origin called ‘lobscouse’ that was widely popular among sailors who would visit this port city. Over time, the people of Liverpool were referred to as ‘Scousers’ and that soon extended to include LFC fans too.

Where is Liverpool FC Stadium located?

Liverpool’s stadium, the Anfield Stadium, is located in Liverpool’s Anfield area. It first opened in 1884, and LFC played its first game there in 1892. Today, the stadium can hold 61,276 people. The stadium is roughly 3 kilometres away from the city center and one of the most iconic football stadiums in the world.

What was Liverpool FC's first colour?

Liverpool FC’s first kit was blue and white. The players donned blue and white shirts, long blue shorts, and blue socks. It wasn’t until 1896 that red was adopted as the club's colour. The iconic all-red kit was popularised in 1964 thanks to the manager Bill Shankly, who wanted his players to look fierce and battle-ready on the field.
