Why is Liverpool’s kit red?

Liverpool owes its red kit to Bill Shankly, one of LFC’s most celebrated managers. He was looking for an edge over the opposition, and believed the all-red kit would have a psychological impact and evoke feelings of danger and power. Shankly launched the striking red kit during the 1964/65 season of the European Cup in a game against Anderlecht. Ever since LFC has been known for its iconic red kits.
